The Portimão Tourist Tax applies to all guests aged 13 or over who stay overnight in tourist establishments* and local accommodation establishments** in the Municipality of Portimão, regardless of nationality or residence. The tax is charged per person per night, up to a maximum of seven overnight stays.
HOW MUCH IS THE TAX?
* €1 per person per night up to a maximum of seven consecutive nights/person, from the 1st of November to the 31st of March - low season.
* €2 per person per night up to a maximum of seven consecutive nights/person, from the 1st of April to the 31st of October - high season.
This will be charged when checking in to the property. Please contact us for more information.
NOTE: A security deposit of 200€ is required before check-in - we hold the deposit in your credit card (at arrival or one day before) and will release it up to 7 days after your check-out. Please make sure you are aware of this refundable damaged deposit before your arrival. The last thing we want is misunderstandings!
The platform is no longer holding the security deposit and allow us to collect it directly from the guest. This information appears when you are confirming the booking. So, all the bookings must pay the refundable damage deposit before or at check-in.
