Decor inside villa a little tired but roomy and beds were fine

We upgraded a few things (towels, heated pool) and did have to send a wire transfer outside Airbnb (wasn’t thrilled about that) and the team was unresponsive to communicate and confirm for several business days, even though they made a mistake when sending us the details of the wire transfer which resulted in us having to go to the bank back home twice. Upon arrival to Portugal we were traveling for 2 weeks prior and I did flag this to the team prior to our departure that I would be unresponsive prior and gave them a date of when I’d be back online prior — however, I was bombarded with emails and notifications to send the entire family’s passport details (for government reasons - true, so be aware all hotels and rentals outside of Airbnb require this —) however, I’m on vacation! . The following day was check in and I was warned in advance the pool maintenance crew would be working. Lucky for me they were - because they are the ones who let me in. The Seashell member was late - very late. The gate at the front door was broken and did not lock. This was highly concerning for us as we had both a walking toddler and a three year old running around the property. We flagged this the moment we checked in. And the next day, and the next day, and the next day. It was not fixed until the fifth day. We were also attending a family event and the morning of the event went to iron all our clothes to find the iron was for another country. Not functioning. Upon communicating this to the team they were unable to “help” and apologized. We had to rush and buy one. We were not discounted for their mistake. Overall I felt I had to constantly be managing this property and process. I have traveled a lot with Airbnb and this was for sure the most work I’ve ever had to put in

It would be helpful for the outdoor sink to work - it would be good to use during BBQs in the evening.
This did not cause any issue however.

It would very hard to improve, we loved it so much and will be returning next year.

A few rubbish bags Some basic cleaning products Tea towels And maybe some pool towels And for your management agency we just mentioned then that the air conditioning wasn’t working as they seem to have a timer and we could not make it work, they didn’t send anyone at the end. The last thing we need to mentioned is that we think that someone came in the outside area last nightearly morning as we found a sun cap that didn’t belong to any of us and we have already clean all the out area, as also the hot water stop working last night and today as we need it to shower before leaving

The only negative to the whole experience would be the check in - we had asked weeks in advance if we could check in earlier than 4pm as our flight landed at 11am, we were told on the day this would not be possible as there had been guests in it previously and they had to clean (fair enough) but they wouldn't even let us leave our suitcases there. We were in the taxi on the way to the vague area location they had provided and they refused to give us the exact address - we had to argue with them whilst our taxi price increased driving around trying to find the place. Eventually they whatsapped me the GPS coordinates, they told me they had sent me these in an email however these were actually different coordinates and were linked to a completely different villa in another area!! We ended up arriving at the villa but were not allowed to leave our suitcases, so we walked down to a nearby restaurant and sat there for some food and drinks for 4 hours. They said the villa would be ready long before 4pm for us but we weren't given the code for check in until 4:20pmMight be nice to have some basics such as oil/salt/pepper and coal/fire starters for the fire pit / BBQ

the boiler broke whilst we were there and they had it fixed within 2 hours

The washing machine could use an update. The neighbors were a bit uptight in terms on noise. The bathroom door are a bit big for the door frame so it made noise everytime we closedopened doors. The rooms were be a bit dusty. Apart from that, the house was the absolute perfect choice for a holiday and we all highly recommend it!
